INTRODUCTION
DOXOLOGY
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as we begin and until we conclude.
May mercy and compassion be poured forth upon us
in this world and the next.
O Lord, our God, to you be glory for ever.
Amen.

OPENING PRAYER
Lord,
in the Morning of your coming,
when the throne of your majesty will be established,
the just will enter singing and praying;
they will be magnificently robed, their faces shining and carrying their offerings.
May we be among them, O Lord,
and so enter your marvelous paradise,
and give you glory, for ever. Amen.

GREETING
Peace be with the Church and her children.

PRAISE OF THE ANGELS
Glory to God in the highest,
and peace on earth and good will to all.

Praise the Lord all you nations,
glorify him all you peoples,

for steadfast is his mercy toward us,
and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and for ever.
and peace on earth and good will to all.

FIRST PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on us and save us.
Lord,
direct our steps toward your eternal light
and your inheritance which has no end.
On your great Morning,
let us see your fatherly face.
Then with the angels and the saints we will sing your praise,
for ever. Amen.

PSALM OF THE DAY
Antiphon:
Show us, O Lord, your kindness,
and grant us your salvation.

Psalm 85

You have favored, O Lord, your land;
you have restored the well-being of Jacob.

You have forgiven the guilt of your people;
you have covered all their sins.

You have withdrawn all your wrath;
you have revoked your burning anger.

Restore us, O God our savior,
and abandon your displeasure against us.

Will you be ever angry with us,
prolonging your anger to all generations?

Will you not instead give us life;
and shall not your people rejoice in you?

Show us, O Lord, your kindness,
and grant us your salvation..

I will hear what God proclaims;
the Lord—for he proclaims peace.

To his people, and to his faithful ones,
and to those who put in him their hope.

Near indeed is his salvation to those who fear him,
glory dwelling in our land.

Kindness and truth shall meet;
justice and peace shall kiss.

Truth shall spring out of the earth,
and justice shall look down from heaven.

The Lord himself will give his benefits;
our land shall yield its increase.

Justice shall walk before him,
and salvation, along the way of his steps.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

Antiphon:
Show us, O Lord, your kindness,
and grant us your salvation.

SECOND PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on us and save us.
Resplendent light,
who enlightens every person,
shine your light in our hearts and gladden us
with your salvation on the day of your great glory,
and we will sing to you for all ages,
and rejoice in you with the just and the saints, for ever. Amen.

NUHRO (HYMN OF LIGHT)
The Light of the just and joy of the upright is Christ Jesus,
our Lord.
Begotten of the Father, he manifested Himself to us.
He came to rescue us from darkness and to fill us with the
radiance of his light.

Day is dawning upon us; the power of darkness is fading away.
From the true Light there arises from us the light which illumines our darkened eyes.

His glory shines upon the world and enlightens the very depths of the abyss.
Death is annihilated, night has vanished, and the gates of Sheol are broken.

Creatures lying in darkness from ancient times are clothed in light.
The dead arise from the dust and sing because they have a Savior.

He brings salvation and grants us life.
He ascends to his Father on high.
He will return in glorious splendor and shed his light on those gazing upon him.

Our King comes in majestic glory,
Let us light our lamps and go forth to meet him.
Let us find our joy in him, for he has found joy in us.
He will indeed rejoice us with his marvelous light.

Let us glorify the majesty of the Son and give thanks to
the almighty Father, who,
in an outpouring of love, sent him to us, to fill us with
hope and salvation.

When he manifests himself, the saints awaiting him in
weariness and sorrow,
will go forth to meet him with lighted lamps.

The angels and guardians of heaven will rejoice in the
glory of the just and upright people of the earth;
together, crowned with victory, they will sing hymns and psalms.

Stand up then and be ready!
Give thanks to our King and Savior, who will come in great
glory to gladden us with his marvelous light in his kingdom.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and for ever. Amen. Alleluia.

THIRD PRAYER
Lord, have mercy on us and save us.
Magnificent Lord,
in heaven you glorified the servants of Light and Spirit,
and in your generous love have deigned to accept the praises
of your people.
May our whole lives be a song of praise,
and preserve us from anything that keeps us from following
your laws and commandments.
Then we will be able to enter your kingdom with the saints and give you glory, for ever. Amen.

MORNING PSALMS
Psalm 148
Alleluia.
Praise the Lord from the heavens,
praise him in the heights;

Praise him, all you his angels,
praise him, all you his hosts.

Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.

Praise him, you highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for he commanded and they were created;

He established them forever and ever;
he gave them a duty which shall not pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
you sea monsters and all depths;

Fire and hail, snow and mist,

storm winds that fulfill his word;

You mountains and all you hills,
you fruit trees and all you cedars;

You wild beasts and all tame animals,
you creeping things and you winged fowl.

Let the kings of the earth and all peoples,
the princes and all the judges of the earth,

Young men too, and maidens,
old men and boys,

Praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;

His majesty is above earth and heaven,
and he has lifted up the horn of his people.

Be this his praise from all his faithful ones,
from the children of Israel,  the people close to him.

Alleluia.

Psalm 149:1-6
Alleluia.

Sing to the Lord a new song
of praise in the assembly of the faithful.

Let Israel be glad in their maker,
let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.

Let them praise his name in the festive dance,
let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp.

For the Lord loves his people,
and he adorns the lowly with victory.

Let the faithful exult in glory;
let them sing joy upon their couches;

Let the high praises of God be in their throats.

Alleluia.

Psalm 150

Alleluia.
Praise the Lord in his sanctuary,
praise him in the firmament of his strength.

Praise him for his mighty deeds,
praise him for his sovereign majesty.

Praise him with the blast of the trumpet,
praise him with lyre and harp.

Praise him with timbrel and dance,
praise him with strings and pipe.

Praise him with sounding cymbals,
praise him with clanging cymbals.

Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord!

Alleluia.

Psalm 117

Praise the Lord, all you nations;
glorify him, all you peoples!

For steadfast is his mercy toward us,
and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and for ever. Amen.

Alleluia.

HOOSOYO
PROEMION
Praise, glory and honor to the High Priest;
at the Jordan he has shown us how to purify ourselves
and has laid out for us the path of life by the cleansing  of our sins.
To the Good One is due glory and honor this morning,
and all the days of our lives,
now and for ever. Amen.

SEDRO
O God,
out of love you became man,
and made us sons and daughters of your Father by
water and the Spirit.
You, who form infants in the womb,
willingly enclosed yourself in the womb of Mary
to renew the image of Adam
that the corruption of sin had tarnished and degraded.
You remade it through the fire of the pure spiritual light
which is baptism.
Although you had no need of it, you came to be baptized
and sanctified the waters of the Jordan in your goodness.
Son of the Most High, you bend your head before John
the Baptist
and from on high the voice of the Father is heard as thunder:
“This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”
The Holy Spirit descended, hovering over your head in the
form of a dove, and the spiritual powers were captivated in fear.
Lord God,
rest your merciful right hand on your believing servants;
bless your people and guard your inheritance.
Through your baptism you clothed us with the garments of glory and marked us with the seal of the living Holy Spirit.
You called us to be spiritual children through the second birth of baptism which purifies us from sin.

By your mighty and unconquerable power
may we, confident as dearly beloved children,
joyfully glorify you,
your Father who sent you for our salvation,
and your living Holy Spirit,
now and for ever. Amen.

QOLO
Holy are you, O God, in your kindness you have raised our nature from corruption.

Holy are you, O Strong One, in your love and kindness you have cleansed and purified us.

Holy are you, O God, angels and men proclaim you holy in heaven and earth.

Holy are you, O Strong One, in your love you have called all
sinners to return to you.

Holy are you, O Immortal One, penitents knock at your door and ask for pardon.

Lord of mercy and God of all consolation,
show us kindness and grant us pardon and remission of faults.

We will give you glory and thanksgiving now and for ever.

ETRO
Holy One,
you sanctify the saints,
living within them and making them the dwelling of your
divinity.
Sanctify our bodies, souls and spirits, dwellings of your divinity, by the descent and action of your divine and Holy Spirit.
Lord God,
enlighten our feeble minds in your great kindness,
keep far from us any trouble or error
and we will give you thanks,
adoring and glorifying your mercy towards us.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
to you be glory for ever. Amen.

MAZMOORO
Glory to the Good One who after three days was raised from the grave without decay. He raised up with him the body of
Adam and with his ascended to the Father who had sent
him.
Sunday is a glorious feast, on which heaven and earth are resplendent; let us praise the Son, first-born of the Father who
saved us from downfall.

SCRIPTURE READINGS
A Reading from the Book of Proverbs
Proverbs 1: 1-19
The Proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel: That men may appreciate wisdom and discipline, may understand words of intelligence; May receive training in wise conduct, in what is right, just and honest; That resourcefulness may be imparted to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man by hearing them will advance in learning, an intelligent man will gain sound guidance, That he may comprehend proverb and parable, the words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; wisdom and instruction fools despise. Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and reject not your mother’s teaching; A graceful diadem will they be for your head; a torque for your neck.
My son, should sinners entice you, and say, “Come along with us! Let us lie in wait for the honest man, let us, unprovoked, set a trap for the innocent; Let us swallow them up, as the nether world does, alive, in the prime of life, like those who go down to the pit! All kinds of precious wealth shall we gain, we shall fill our houses with booty; Cast in your lot with us, we shall all have one purse!” — My son, walk not in the way with them, hold back your foot from their path! For their feet run to evil, they hasten to shed blood. It is in vain that a net is spread before the eyes of any bird —
These men lie in wait for their own blood, they set a trap for their own lives. This is the fate of everyone greedy of loot: unlawful gain takes away the life of him who acquires it.

A Reading from the Letter to the Philippians
Philippians 4: 1-23
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved. I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to come to a mutual understanding in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you also, my true yokemate, to help them, for they have struggled at my side in promoting the gospel, along with Clement and my other co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you. I rejoice greatly in the Lord that now at last you revived your concern for me. You were, of course, concerned about me but lacked an opportunity. Not that I say this because of need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient. I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me. Still, it was kind of you to share in my distress. You Philippians indeed know that at the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, not a single church shared with me in an account of giving and receiving, except you alone. For even when I was at Thessalonica you sent me something for my needs, not only once but more than once. It is not that I am eager for the gift; rather, I am eager for the profit that accrues to your account. I have received full payment and I abound. I am very well supplied because of what I received from you through Epaphroditus, “a fragrant aroma,” an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen. Give my greetings to every holy one in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their greetings; all the holy ones send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar’s household.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
